My walking buddy coerced me into going on a hike this morning. (Yes, coerced is the right word!)
I dropped the girls off at school and then followed her, a friend, and three kids in their car with me and my two littles in my car.
We didn't hike all the way up since we had three four-year-olds and two one-year-olds and it was windy and so steep!
My friend let me borrow her backpack carrier for Abby. I liked it, especially the thick strap that goes across my tummy (it held me all in the way I want to be!)
Here is what it looked like. (I put "we live in this area" over our neighborhood.) The big white buildings are Home Depot and Walmart.
Vincent at the middle point that we turned around. Then he complained the whole way down that his backpack was slipping off his shoulders.Me with Vincent and Abby.
Abby hung off to the side. She liked when I'd slip her pieces of fruit leather and didn't really complain much.

We saw a tiny baby racer snake. He just stayed near the crack and didn't bother anyone.
Vincent was glad to be at the bottom. So was I!
Vincent was singing a little song while he was on the biggest rock after the hike. He then walked around on the curb for ten minutes or so. I don't think he was tired enough...
Abby was ready to eat some more, I guess.
Abby really likes the swing and dogs. She makes a cute little "arf, arf" noise anytime she sees a dog.
We had a great morning.
Just wait until you see what we are up to tonight! For now, it's naptime!
